I have just fitted a new asaka triple heat pipe cpu cooler, the way this has ended up on my mother board is pointing straight into the bottom of the power supply (about 1/4inch gap) now the fan on my new cooler is the same size as the fan on my power supply so they are now both blowing straight through the power supply and out of the back of the computer. Now with the new cooler the noisiest part of my setup seems to be the power supply fan, as my new cooler is blowing straight into the power supply do you think it would be possible or advisable to disconect the power supply fan and let the new cpu cooler take on the job of cooling both the cpu and the power supply?

Well... not only would the CPU fan have to cool down the CPU and move hot air from the case it would have to cool down the PSU components aswell.

May wanna stick with both fans on or test it for a bit with one fan on and compare temps.

Temps seem alright, but you might also want to check your PSU temps...

You have no other way of reorienting your fan... maybe exhaust it through the back?
