Yeah... you don't look like your on a budget, so I don't know why your not going with the Core 2 Duo. You can hit that up with a P5B or a DS3 or AB9 Pro if you don't plan on going Xfire or SLI and you already have a pretty decent beast.

Memory wise, G. Skill, Crucial Ballistix, Corsair, OCZ, just choose one. I would go with OCZ since last time I checked they were a bit cheaper, but that was a while back. I would also go with the 18x Samsung Optical drive, unless you really want lightscribe...

Hmmm, just read about you wanting a quad core... make sure the mobo you choose will be compatabile. I'm not sure if the Asus one will be, I think the P5N32-SLI should be, but you might want to hold off until you hear more. The e6300 is already decently cheap, still think you should get that instead of the P4 you have listed now.

If you're happy with only 160GB of disk space, I'd consider a 150GB raptor instead. They're $220 at newegg.
If you neeed more space later, you can get another one and raid them and have even more awesome disk performance.

He cannot shop at Newegg.. They are $340 for him. So, OP I would avoid that option.

Don't fall for the marketing trap that is Quad SLI. SLI is a horrible upgrade path, especailly now. the GX2 will not be fully able to utilize DX10 and Vista. It makes NO sense to spend almost $1000 on video cards which cannot do this.

When "sometime" rolls around there will be a card that can beat your SLI setup with a single card using less power and costing less money. DO NOT fall for the trap.

Getting 4GB now makes little sense considering XP has issues with anything over 3GB. Save the extra 2GB for Vista.

7950 GX2 and a 19" LCD? or 7950 GX2 and a 24" LCD?
It doesnt make much sense to buy a SLI setup to run a 1280x1024 monitor. SLI doesnt really start to make any difference in gaming performace till you start using 16x12 or 16x10 widescreen of higher resolutions.
I'd suggests a single BFG GeForce 7950 GT for $375CDN and a 20" widescreen 1600x1080 monitor.
