I am having difficulties with my laptop recognizing my printer ,i am working thru a wireless-g broadband router ,to a hp pavillion laptop, and a lezmark x6150, all in one printer scan copy fax connected to my desktop, what are my settings supposed to be on my desktop for this to operate on my laptop

Give a few unknowns, I'll go by a typical setup. I will assume both computers are running Windows XP. I will also guess that this is a workgroup setup and there is no domain involved. In this event, make sure that both computers have the same workgroup name. Also, make sure that both computers have the same account name and password (password needs to set and not blank.) Right click on the printer and share it out with "everyone" having permissions to it. You should be able to connect to and print to the printer from the laptop in this configuration.

If this isn't the case, please provide additional details.
