Computer crashes when updating graphic card.

i have a geforce 7800GT sli and when i try to update it it goes to a black screen and when i reboot it wont load windows and goes to a black screen. i have an asus motherboard a8n32 sli deluxe. ive called EVGA and they told me it was my monitor which is idiotic. not to mention i believe somethings wrong with my motherboard too. i dont have any bad problems with the pc only when i update. i dont know whats wrong. i bought my pc from "ibuypower"

Some comp specs would be nice.....bios & driver versions.................I mean...how do you expect anyone to help you if you don't give us any comp specs........... :roll:
