Probably in time for back to school sales in late summer/early fall.

If you want to get an early look - the beta version/Consumer Preview will be available for download end of the month.
You could add that to your current system in dual boot configuration to have a good look at it. Or you could run the OS in a virtual machine (VM) when ever you want to take a test drive.

I would not expect to see RTM until the end of the year and retail early next year could be wrong but that is the way I see it.
