E-Mail downloads

If I try to download..i get a pop up applet...with ! in yellow triangle
...SECURITY ALERT: Your current security settings do not allow this file to be
downloaded. I have Windows XP..Can anyone help me with the right settings to
download files from my e-mail! TIA

In OE, Tools>Options...>Security tab. In the Virus Protection or top
section is "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened.....virus".
Click on to uncheck its box.
