I need advice. My computer is fried! My Deer power supply that came with the machine has failed and it destroyed 2 hard drives, my motherboard and an optical drive. How can this be prevented from happening again? I realize a decent power supply will help, but is there something else I can do to help prevent this from happening again?
How are the power supplies that come with Antec? Which do you recommend?

Most of Antec's PSU is good quality. Well, there are another good quality PSU though...
For the wattage is depend on your PC specs.

As speaking about electronics devices, you won't be able to prevent from disaster 100%, but you can reduce it from happening.

For reducing disaster of PSU and/or PC, buying UPS could be a good idea.
Backing up your data regularly could help too.
