Am I correct in saying that you want to be able to remote control your home PC from work ?

First I would check whether the port forwarding is working:

- Open a DOS prompt
- Type: "TELNET <i.p address> 5632

If you see a blank screen then the port is open.

Secondly, are you running any kind of firewall ?

Thirdly, your company may block those outgoing ports.

Personally I would use a freeware remote control tool called VNC. You can remote control a PC via a Internet browser session

TightVNC

Yes, some security suggestions,
Make sure you have PcAnywhere set with a good password
Set PcAnywhere host mode to "Lock workstation" when session is ended
The Administrator password on the host machine is not left blank
