First post so be kind
I have a P4 820D, 7800GTX and a gig of 667 ram. unfortunatly my motherboard isnt one for overclocking (i cant remember the name but i remember trying and then reading that its not fit for the job)
I know the 820D isnt a gaming chip, i bought it because i played games as well as doing graphics work but couldnt afford the extra cost of the higher chips.
basicaly i want to know which 775 board i can pick up that will allow me to get a good clock out of my 820D. if it is able to take the new range of intel chips at some point that would be even better.
I have a watercooling setup on my CPU which is cooled by 2 120mm fans on a nice big rad. it used to cool my old graphics card but since i got my 7800 i just left it cooling the CPU.
So what motherboard should i be aiming for to get a good clock out of my 820D? i seem to remember reading about people hitting 4 gb with them.
