I've been reading exhaustively for two days now but I might be dense because I didn't quite find the answer to my question. Thus, the new thread.
I am building a new system using a C2D E6600 on an Asus P5B-E motherboard. I plan to do a very mild overclock to 333 MHz with stock multiplier of 9 for a 3.0 GHz system. What I am trying to figure out is what memory I should be looking into. Would I be better suited finding some DDR-2 667 CL3 or just getting any old DDR2-800 CL4 and underclocking it to 333 MHz but dropping the timings to CL3?
While I'm at it, are there any brands of memory I should avoid because of my motherboard choice?
Thanks much to anyone that took the time to read this, even if you don't have any advice to offer.
