Ok I have been looking around and have been seing these cards beign 256 mb or 128 mb. I looked in my specs today and startup before post and says mine is a 512 mb. Did I get 1 in a million card, or is it normal and im just not seeing it.
it's totally normal, jus take a look at ur vga card box, it should show u theres 512mb, its only NOT normal if ur box says 128 or 256 and u actually got a 512...
By allowing the graphics processing unit (GPU) to share the capacity and bandwidth of dedicated video memory and dynamically available system memory, TurboCache turbocharges performance and provides larger total graphics memory.
Translation? It sucks system memory. Therefore, your 256 MB video card becomes a "512 MB video card" by sucking 256 MB of system memory, when it needs to.
The downside is: the latency of your system memory is way higher than the video card memory, thus, giving you a slower performance. Not slower than your actual performance, but slower than it would be.
But if you don't care where you spend your money, well, nevermind.
In a few months this card will be gone. Slowly upgrading my pc 1 thing at a time.Ordered the artic 7 freezer pro and some artic silver 5. Next will be a PSU then northbridge cooler. Then possibly a video card.
