Has anyone besides me seen this problem? My Gigabyte DQ6 mobo's CPU fan warning in EasyTune is constantly flashing between the red & yellow warning trianges in the PC Health Hardware Monitor section.
I nopticed this when I turned on the audible alerts in the BIOS for any cooling fan failures.

My mobo's specs are as follows:
GA-965P-DQ6 Rev. 1.0
F5 BIOS
EasyTune version 5.2006.09.12
iCool version B6.0830.1

I called Gigabyte's tech support @ 626-854-9338 & they told me this was normal. They told me to leave all the fan alerts & monitoring options in the BIOS disabled because this mobo has the SMART FAN features. Yet the Easytune 5 utility has the SMART FAN features option grayed out. Hmm???

I'm worried my system will overheat when I least expect it.

I have an Intel stock 775 fan on there & the heatsinks which surround the CPU are in this mobo have been warm, not skin frying temps.
I purchased a 2nd fan to see if the 1st one was defective. It isn't.
I'd like to overclock but I'm concerned about this issue first.
In EasyTune 5 the readings are as follows:
system temp = 42c / 107F
CPU = 30c / 87F

Thanks guys in advance for any help.

It's normal. Your body runs hotter than your cpu (in this case). Just disable the warnings like they said.

hi
i think the temperatures of the cpu is ok no problems ,just turn down the sensititivy range of these sensors like alerts on 50c and the matter should be fine .

Just find out what RPM's are normal for your fan, and see if its running at that speed. If it is, then you're safe. Just goto the alerts section in EasyTune and turn the alert rpm threshold down to below your rpm so it doesn't flash. Or just don't use easytune because its a usless piece of shit. that's what I do.
Use Coretemp or everest to measure your temps and rpms.
