Is there a setting i dont know about

Ok here is my specs

ASROCK 939Dual-VSTA
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
2GB OCZ DDR400
250GB SATAII 16MB Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive
NVidia 7800GS AGP Video card

Ok Here is my problem

with these specs is there any reason why i am getting only 28-32 FPS in BattleField 2 with settings on high, NO AA and resolution set to 1024x768??

Strange thing is, is that i can put my settings down to medium and have a resolutuion of 800x600 and still get about the same FPS???

Please this has been driving me insane any advice would be helpful.

First thing popping to mind is having screwed up your graphics driver setting. Check the following in your driver setup:

Set AA and AF to let application decide
Also you don't want to have Vsync enabled in neither the drivers nor the game.

I assume you're using the latest forceware drivers from nvidia...
