The FX-55 is a great chip to overclock because of the multiplier being unlocked.

I dont own a fx55 but a friend of mine does and he got it to 3.0 gHz before it got funny. That might be atypical.

Its an fx, tho, so its a good cpu, really. AMD has some nice features in the FX
