I have a new hx4700 that everytime I power it on, it blanks out the Rhino
Code battery icon on the today screen, and then shows up whatever % of the
battery I have left. Should it always do this?

Not sure exactly what you mean but on my hx4700 the battery icon is
displayed at all times with the percentage remaining shown below.
Have you upgraded to Rhino Code Pro?

Well, this is just the default that came with the Ipaq hx4700. Are you
using the same PDA as me?
