I was wondering if it is possible to reuse the ends of an ethernet cable. I want to modify my Cat5 ethernet cable into a crossover cable.
I want to cut off one of the ends on my cat5 cable then take out the excess wiring in the connector. Then once I have crossed the wires I need to cross I want to insert the cable/wiring back into the same connector. I was wondering if that is possible?
Thank you very much to anyone who responds!

No sir. Once you crimp that end, it's done. You'll need a new end. Home Depot or Lowe's sells them in their telecommunications area. $0.20 a piece or something like that.
