I got a second phone from ATTWS and they didn't tell me since
my previous phone was CDMA the two plans don't mix. Is Cingular different?

Previous phone where on what carrier? AT&T Wireless and cingular are
TDMA or GSM. CDMA doesn't figure into the picture at all and cannot
for that matter.
