My Epson Perfection 1260 refused to work. The software
did not acknowledge Twain. Repeated uninstall/install and
other efforts failed. So I e-mailed Epson Support.

Their first reply, prompt, did not help. I e-mailed again.
Their second instruction -- reloading Windows imaging --
fixed my problem.

Epson was quick and instructive and responded to my
description -- a person, not a canned response.

I have no connection with Epson. Complaining is common
on newsgroups. It's only fair to publicize good support when
it happens.
