Just wondering if anybody else has compared 7900 GTX single card to SLi 7600gt's in 3D mark 2006. Also to Tom's VGA chart . I have been consistantly scoring between 6600 to 6800 with my 7900 GTX. I am also wondering why I can't seem to get all that great of scores with 3D mark 2001 SE 24500 with 7900 GTX and one 7600 gt (non SLi obviously)

If I remember correctly, the last time I ran 01 was just after I got my first X800. I had it mated with a 3200+ at the time, and the increase from that and my R360 9800pro was slim to nothing in 01.

Well your scoring 6600 in 3dmark06? I find it hard to believe that the rig you posted scored that high @ 2.2 ghz unless it was sli, or you were at 2.8ghz?
Then to drop to 24k in 01, yea something is really wacky I would expect a score of 30k.

Well.. i'm not sure how different our systems really are.. but i can't hit 4k in 06. I'm at 2.650 ghz.. 1GB memory.. 7900GT *545/810*

3845 or something like that is the best i can get it to do.. what the hell am i not doing.. some people with same exact system are getting another 500-900 on me..

I wonder if there is a major flaw with my system.. but nothing fails any tests.. and so on.

6600 is a really good score in 3DM06, especially for a single card.
Thats my point its too good for 2.2ghz plus single card, Maybe if cpu was at 2.6~2.7 but not 2.2ghz. I never seen anything that high, and thats all i do these days ,is mess with super pi and futuremark.

I tend to agree. I'm running a 6300 @ 3.0 ghz, with a 7900GTO @ 665/750 and I'm getting 6503 3DMark06 with 1280 rez. With the CPU @ 2.3 and GPU @ stock, I get 5860.
