Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with my new build, I have built systems in the past and most benchmarked close to what has been reported in the internet.

My computer is working fine, but when I did my 3DMARK 06 tests my e6600 only got a score of 1012, by SiS Sandra my e6600 had by MIPS and MFLOPS a quarter of what a stock e6600 should have around 5000.

I have an e6600 not OC'd my temps with CoreTemp are around 45°
Gigabyte DS3 with Bios upgraded to newest F6
Freezer 7 pro with AS5
2GB G.Skill PC6400
80 GB Seagate Baracuda
Samsung SH-W163A Sata DVD burner
Asus ax850XT PE
Silentium T5 MidiTower
Windows XP Pro

i'm using asrock 775dual-vsta & e6600 & ddr400

there's absolutely something wrong with your configuration. your temperature is about the same as mine as my cores are around 40-45C using stock hsf, so i assume it's normal. the only thing weird is the benchmark especially the benchmark results.

perhaps your bios setting, have you tried to set it at default option? and what do you mean by working fine? is it running fast with the game you play?

synthetic benchmark is not so real in real world application, but it can measure the standard performance of your hardware and should not be vary too much with others.

Thank you for the reply,

Well, I mean fine by it is very stable, I have it running quite a lot, and yes, by games, especially Oblivion, I have it at 1280 x 1024, pretty much high detail all around, without AA though and it is pretty fluid gameplay, I don't know the exact fps, but I assume at least 25.

Thanks again

well as long as your real application is not getting slower than you've expected before than is ok i guess.

the benchmark scores are there to justify the strong. hehe :D
