Ive gotten my 4200x2 socket 939 cpu to run stable at 2.75ghz. I'm just wondering about my temperatures. Nvidia Ntune shows the following temps
IDLE
cpu 27
system 43

100% load for 1hour
cpu 39
system 54

Are these temperatures ok?? What exactly is the system temp??
thanks
Frank

Also can anyone tell me the differance between the cpu voltage and core voltage?? I have the voltage set at 1.45 in the bios. And Ntune shows cpu 1.45 and core 1.53.

27 and 39 @ 2.75 at load are fine. Nowhere near anything to worry about.

Voltage difference.....I used to get differences between BIOS, CPUz, and NTune. P'd me off. Ntune seemed fairly reliable though

I'd say you're good to go.

What are your settings at that speed?

That is kind of my initial goal, getting my S939 Toledo X2 4200+ to 250x11. I am using PC3200 ram. If I can get stable there, I might just wait a few months before I push it any harder... if I have a CPU that can even reach 2.75 that is.

I know that when I overclock Bartons, because I have done so many of them, I just see if it can boot up at 200x11 with a VCore around 1.75. Based on my results, I overclock more or less, or increase or decrease the VCore, etc.

Are there some nice and simple setting to reach 250x11 with pc3200? That would be a 4:5 ram:cpu ratio, right. The HTT would be what? I could set the CPU VCore to 110%. The computer will either post or not post, right.
