I am looking at getting a Dell 5150 laptop. Most of Dells may be ordered with a miniPCI WLAN card. Is this card connected to some sort of antenna that loops around the chassis or is it just like a PCMCIA and all included in the card iteself.
I am asking because I already have a 802.11g PCMCIA card but would get the miniPCI WLAN card if it provided significantly better reception.
Even the Dell sales reps don't seem to know the answer to this question. The mini pci card has antenna headers so I would assume antennas run up the side of the monitor.
