I do not overclock and rarely play games but I do quite a bit of photo editing with photo shop cs2 and my question is would it be worth upping the ram to at least a gig or should I just upgrade the whole system. I need a bit more speed for editing.

If I upgrade the ram what is the suggestion for ram to use?

Well if you dont game alot a video game alot maybe a ram upgrade is good idea.
But if i may recomend another option, you can buy a AMD64 fx55 for 139$ if there is a time to upgrade to the 939 socket and have pcie its now. i have a 4000+ and its smoking fast and the fx55 is 200mhz faster.
