Todd, thanks for answering Tim's question. I have the same one with a
followon:
I used Chapura to port my Palm OS database from my Sony Clie PEG-22 to
desktop Outlook. It worked fine. My Active Sync ported the information to my
hx4705 PPC without problems.
The problem came when I had the idea to keep using my old Clie in parallel
with my Pocket PC and sync both to my desktop PC using the same Outlook
database.
The problem is that when I used Chapure to sync to the Clie after having
ActiveSync'd to my PPC, Chapura stated that I had to re-establish the
conduit. It was not comfortable with the parallel arrangement of Palm and
PPC devices. I can force syncing to both, but I get duplicate records on the
handhelds.
Outlook does a good job of scrubbing out the duplicate records on the
desktop database, but the handhelds do not. So I get dozens or hundreds of
Schedule and Contact duplicate records and I don't know what the tools are
to remove duplicate handheld database records..
Again, thanks Todd for answering these questions.
Sometimes I feel like a pain in the ying-yang because I have posted this
question several times.
