RICOH IS420 Is anyone experenced in using this unit?

I used this scanner to record over 300,000 pages (maybe more). Sad thing is
I never learned how to set it up (I just worked for a company without access
to this criteria.

I managed to buy one off of EBay, it came with an ISA Minolta SCSI card and
a cable (a lot longer then the "3 Foot rule" ) with an adapter. Without
giving a ton of details that doesn't matter to the main group:

Anyone out there I could contact with a few question on setting this
beautiful high speed document scanner up?

I downloaded the latest drivers from Ricoh.

The IS420 was shipped impeccable.

The feed tray lifts on startup (good sign).

The scanner light an eerie green (good sign).

But seconds after, Windows 98se (drivers do not support anything after 98)
the light goes out, and it is not accessible from the software?!?!


I know someone out there loves this beast, please contact me!
