ASUS vs HP smartphones ?

The devices you mention here are not SmartPhones. The HP6365 is a Pocket PC
Phone Edition while the A716 is Windows Mobile 2003 (Pocket PC 2003).
Because the HP6365 does have cellular phone capabilities, it will be more
expensive than the Asus for that reason alone. Other factors do include
marketing (everyone knows HP, not everyone knows Asus) as well.

SmartPhones are a completely different animal. Take a look at

comparision of Pocket PCs and Pocket PC Phone Editions at the Pocket PC
