Hey guys, i've been searching the web for some time now and wasnt able to find the information I was looking for so I was wondering if you guys could help me. I read this article (http://www.techspot.com/article/13-intel-core2duo-e6300-e6700-overclocking/) about overclocking a core duo e6300 and e6700. e6700 was a little to expensive and e6300 only has 2mb chance so I want to get an e6600 with an ASUS P5W DH Deluxe (what they used with there test) but I'm some what confused of what options in the bios to change, how will I know the perfect overclock settings are for the e6600? (without going cooling crazy) could anyone point me to an article or help me out? Is that how I'm suppose to do to overclock it? Am I getting the right motherboard? I would realllllyyyy! appreciate any help, thank you.

i got your back bro,

before you post again you should first post all the specs of your pc, motherboard, ram, video card, psu, all of it.

second the toms thread on over clocking C2D's may help you. it is
http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/Core2Duo-Overclocking-Guide-v1-ftopict197995.html

and third im guessing your using the stock cooling and that will take you pretty far. best advice i got when learning how to OC was, TAKE IT SLOW. jsut relax and everythign will come together 8)
