"network config wizards" do not run!

Forum Networking : General Discussion "network config wizards" do not run!

I had some problems with my network. I could communicate with my router (on adsl) I could resolve DNS addresses, however I couldn't browse.

I had to disable every net card, except the one connected to the router in order to have access to the web. No firewall, or AV is running (nor installed)

However now, I cannot open any network wizard If I go to IE > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Setup, my cursor turns to timer for a sec, and then nothing... No entry to Event Log, no error message, nothing. Same happens if I try to run any other networking wizard (Connect to home or office network, etc)

What is happening? How am I able to enable my other cards, and still have internet? I even tried to remove everything about networking (adapters, hardware, protocols, etc) but no comeback on wizards...

Try reinstalling the wizzard through Add/remove programs "windows" Networking tools.

I thought is was tied to "Network services"
Internet gateway ....
UPnP ....

Also under AdminTools "Services"

Here is were services are told to start up Auto/ Manual/ etc.
Network Connections STARTED/Manual
Network location Awareness Started/manual

There are a lot of services that contol how the computer will react.

Have you tried MS help/ KnowledgeBase?
