Anyone got a view on the Canon FS 4000 over the Nikon LS 40 or the Canon
9900 Flatbed with 8 slide tray.

Either of the dedicated film scanners will produce far better results
than the flatbed, but the Nikon will probably produce best of all three.
ICE on the Nikon is considerably superior to FARE for defect removal
primarily because it is implemented in a single pass with the scanned
image, instead of a secondary pass as in the FS-4000.
