Whats taking so long with BTX

I was just curious what everyones opinion is on this matter? I mean what is taking so long for it to catch on, and at this point (3 years since its intro) should i be worried about buying a new ATX case and mobo?

Intel have dropped BTX.

Thats probably enough to be the death of it. Shame because it seems better than ATX in lots of ways.

The reason for BTX was because ATX design couldn't provide adequate cooling for the new Intel chips (that's an intel design flaw, if you ask me). But intel's current gen chips are properly efficient, thus don't have the cooling requirements BTX provided.
