I have about 8 different dvd burners and two of them are Plextor brand and will agree that they are the quietest ones I have, I have the 716SA SATA burner and the 760A, just dont buy a Plextor 740 from what I have read and been told its not a true Plextor drive but a rebadged one, I may be wrong but its not as good as the other two I have.
