amd 4400 x2 vs. fx-55

Well It's kinda Obvious that a 1mb(rare) Dual Core is Much more powerful than a Single Core FX(early series)

4400, hands down, if overclocked.
FX only if you use singlethreaded apps.

Same cache, twice the cores = much better multitasking performance.
You should be able to clock the 4400 to FX speeds anyway, so the FX isn't a great option.

I would go with the X2-4400 and overclock it... it should easily reach up to 2.6GHz...
