don't think they are home made.

Why? Looks like a home made thing to me, and except for the Mountain Dew decal, looks like junk to me. I think my kid could make a better case.

No idea, but I CAN tell you its a couple, who appear to be married. And I think she was playing Halo 2 at the time the photo was taken.

they're not exactly identical, the green one has a handle on the top whilst the black doesn't and doesn't have the hooks either, however, the cases could still be home/custom made.

edit: window shape is also slightly different

Well, if they aren't sponsored, it may be the same reason why people wear T-shirts with products on them they didn't get for free or get tattoos of real things.
