I dont know where you got the idea that "best" and "cheap" can go together, but you might look <A HREF="http://www.dvdirect.com/Prods/firewire.htm" target="_new">here</A> or <A HREF="http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/atenfirewire/" target="_new">here</A> (the basic one) to see some of them, search for more will help too :o)

If you dont want any software with it just make sure it is ohci compliant and has a lucent or texas istrament chip and it will work with all editing programs. I wouldn't spend more than $70 on one i seen em as low as $40.
