WAIT i mean today is Oct 13th 06 and Nvidia's 8800 series is being releaced in less than a month... and they will be DX10 and will destroy any dx9 card out there. so wait one month save more cash and then fully enjoy games. what card do you have right now?

Yea i agree with melarcky on this one. Dont blow 500-700 bucks when that money can go towards a nice DX10 card. Personally, i would suggest buying a x1900xt or 7900GTO, and hold out for Ati's DX10 model: The R600. Also, some of the money should go towards vista, as DX10 cards only run on that OS. What are the current specs of your PC right now?

^^ what they said. What are you running now?

DX10 will be worth the wait, in terms of performance.

If you're running an Nvidia GF2 MX series and need a card now, then a 7900GTO or X1900XT is the way to go. But if you have a something like a 6800GS or even an ATi 9800 series, it might be better just to wait.

The SLI of the 7900GTX beats the SLI 7950GX2 at 16x12. Higher than this I believe the quad-core wins.
But wait for DX10, and get a single highest end card. SLI has awful $/performance ratio.

That's nothin. I'm building my next car from scratch, for real. I'm mining the metal ores and everything myself! No tools, either! It's all bare hands baby!

I'm still awake! Bwahahaha!

Anyway, just roam the internet for any given part. Such as http://www.userbars.com/hardware.php or somewhere similar. That site also has a useful animator which will combine the separate images automatically! Or you could do it manually like I did to produce a unique switching effect. Adobe Premiere or Jasc Animation Shop will do it.
