Enabling DMA on Win2k

Hi all.
Could someone tell me how am I able to enable DMA for a cd-rom or DVD-rom on WIN2k? I think I go to the device manager -> IDE properties - > Secondary Ide properties... and then I choose " DMA if available?
is this right?

Yep, you got it right.
If you don’t have the option available, you probably just need to install the motherboard drivers.
