is it best to purchase the 7950GX2 or 7900GTX for sli...i do know the the 7952 is more for HD gaming but the 7900 due to clock speeds i would consider it to be more for gaming...ALSO due to dx10 being release is it compatible to windows xp or would i have to get vista...BASICALLY I WANT TO PURCHASE THE BEST CARD for GAMING

Ignoring all the junk in your post and getting to the point, the absolute best 'single' card you can get is the 7950GX2. It has two cores. The ATI Radeon 1950XTX CF is better performing but costs a lot.

That being said, the guide does not mention the 7900GTO (it wasn't released yet) and that card is a steal at $255 at newegg. SLi those two and OC if you want the best for the money.

Yes they are compatible with windows

Yes the GTO is sweet and something else to consider, although it doesn't sound like he's looking for 'value', but buy a GTO for now (especially from eVGA) and then upgrade to GF8xxx later would be my suggestion, even for someone who's foolish with their money.

actually even if you dont get vista i believe that the Gf 8xxx series will be a great choice for you,
1) newer tech
2) supports Dx 10 for when you do get vista
3) you can always play Dx9 games and if your into games like Oblivion you will be finally able to play it on max with good fps (50+)
so if you are actaully wanting the BESt and you can afford to blow that much cash.. then go for dx10
