I boght star wars: battlefront 2 a few days ago and it kicked me out of the game after 10 mins of playing. I did the little test tool that came with the game and it said somthing about my video card faileing the test cuz it dosent have tnl. what is tnl?

i'm useing a laptop 1.6ghpentium M, compaq, 512ram, 128mb onbord intel, intel, intel everything.

TnL = Transform & lighting.

A graphics feature present on cards since the GeForce 1, a function previosly offloaded to the CPU in the early days.

In other words.....you graphics chip fucking SUCKS!!!

upgrade to a better laptop for a better graphics chip.Goodluck.

See thats what I dont get, I think......it has tnl, it play hl2 (at lowest posible settings at 15fps) and it dosent kick out. allthogh I only played it for about 15 mins till I couldent stand the crapy performence any more. I got the laptop like 5 months ago, and it was 400 bucks, not a bad deal if u just wana surff the internet. I think i'm asking too much of it . any way thanks for the info.

Hold onto your games (Star Wars & HL2) and build a proper rig for gaming, the laptop can then be relegated to the mundane i.e surfing,word,exel etc. BTW I'm not sure about HL2 but HL1 (the daddy) will play on just about anything (266 P2 laptop).
