New recomendation for P4 3.2 775.

Hi all. This is my first post in this forum and I hope that some of you smarties can help me out

I had a Gigabit motherboard that I messed up. (865-PE). I had a good overclock going FSB@230 1.42vcore. I was disapointed that I couldn't adjust the multiplier, because I bought GEIL (2.5 7-4-4-4 @ 500) RAM and was not able to take advantage of it.

In any case, I bent a pin on the LGA and I need to get a new MOBO. I have a x850 XT PE so I want to stick to AGP at this point.

My question is "What would be a good replacement that would hopefully allow me to adjust the multiplier?"

What P4 3.2 do you have? 640?

I do believe the multiplier on the P4 is locked. Not the board.

I have a GA-8IPE775-G Rev 1.1. This board only takes single core CPU's.

The Rev 1.2 of this board takes some dual cores as well and is still an agp oard.
