I have just purchased a machine to build up. I got:
2x Operton 270 Dual Cores
Tyan S2892 Mobo
8x 512MB ECC Registered RAM (all the same make & model)
4x 500GB Ram
Antec Titan CAse w/ 550W PSU
1x DVD-RW
It works just fine and every thing but niether the BIOS or the OS picks up that there is 4GB of RAM. I know that XP/ 2003 will pick it up as 3.5GB but normally the bios would show that there is 4gb of ram. However in this case it isn't showing 4gb at all, only 2gb. I have the stock standard bios version 2. Is there a jumper on the board I need to set or comething in the bios?
