I'm building a new gaming rig of roughly ~$2000 - looking for a worthwhile case to house it - nothing flashy, just something sleek and sturdy...

build:
E6600
X1900XT/7900GTO
2 GB DDR2 800 Corsair XMS
Asus P5B Deluxe
700W gameXstream (upgrading to DX10 soon!)
320GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATAII
Samsung 20.1 Inch 204B

I'm looking at either the NZXT Apollo or the Cooler Master Mystique...

suggestions?

Haha I just want to say that is a nice setup and is the sorta machine i plan on building myself in the near future but with my raptor and audigy 2 zs

The case that I had my eye on for this build was a Coolermaster Ammo 533 case, it's not pretty and it doesnt have a clear case and bright lights and a door bezel on the front but god damn it looks tough and i want it and thats what i love about it, no fancy rubish :P it doesnt come with a PSU either so you wont be paying for something you don't need.

theres huge vents on the side and up the top and a 120mm fan on the back and infront of the hdd's, I would throw out that mongrel blue led fan on the front and get some nice thermaltake dynamic 120mm clear fans.

Check it out, you'll either love it or hate it.

And I Love it :D

If your looking for a sturdy, non-flashy case. There is nothing better than a lian-li, period, Buy one and you'll never use anything else.

I was hoping you wouldn't mention that case...

"tis the ugliest I have ever glanced upon" (no offense!!)

to PATMCQ333, lian-lis' are f--- expensive, and i what i had in mind was something that looked like a case, not a stainless steel box
It might be my fault: What I had in mind was something sleek and "gaming"-cool. Flashy for me=outrageous cheap colorful shiny case...

To MPILCHFAMILY, the P180B is awesome, but think its worth it for over 100$?
Also, the PSU positioning...

Reply to deusex

DO you think the P180B can be compared to the APollo/Mystique in terms of cooling and noise?

Reply to deusex

Is there anything negative abou the PSU positioning at the bottom?
-heard a few things, but vague...

This is just my opinion I like my Thermaltake Armor. I like mine but its is $145. I also have a Xoxide X-purity its cheap and it feels cheap.

Weird, Thats my exact computer, same screen and everything, cept I have an X-FI music sound card...

Anyways, I got the Antec nine hundred case, and I love it. I love antec cases, but think they look too conventional typically. This one is real sexy imo.

nine hundred

Mpilchfamily-

Do you think its too much of a hassle? (this will be my first build starting from scratch - ive done major upgrades, and replaces, but not a entire build)
