Will a AMD 3200+ (Orleans) work with DDR800?

The question is in the topic. Will it still work? The mobo says it will work with 667, but will the CPU?

CPU

Here is where it says that it will support 667, but does not have anything about 800. Look at the AM2 sokcet plz.

  1. RAM compatibility is dictated by the motherboard. So yes, it should work.

Socket AM2 Single Core CPUs supports up to DDR2 at 667MHz.
Surely you can plug DDR2-800 ram modules into the motherboard, but they will run at 667MHz only.
