The very best CPU cooling you'll get is "Blow-Thru" like the Tuniq Tower, or my favorite blow-thru this guy:

I had a E6300 O/C faster than a Core 2 Duo Extreme 6800 with that cooler.

At 2.97GHz Prime stable

Although for optimum system operation I have to recommend cooling for peripheral components as well so I like your choice of the Zalman which is "Blow-Around" which will catch some peripherals, althought the very best is "Blow-Down" and with this monster you will get really good results:

I'm using this on two different Intel Bad Axe boards coupled with E6600 CPUs and they are running super cool, the northbridge and ICH7R are running super cool (without additional fans), and the memory sticks are cool to the touch (all from the blow-down breeze created by that bad boy SI-128).

They are both running at 3.11GHz Prime stable and 2003 Server SP1 running VMware Server rock solid dead nuts stable.

The SI-128 will provide enough cooling to crank up the fun dial plenty and also keep the rest of your components cool from the down draft.

I recommend Panaflo fans from heatsinkfactory.com

Grip it and rip it!
