I am moving over to ADSL from Cable Broadband and am unsure what modem to buy. I undertsand there are two types USB and Ethernet and I am not sure what to buy I have been recommended the following:
D-Link ADSL Ethernet Modem
But some people have recommended USB. It was stessfull enough chosing a new Graphics card, now this. Please Help.
I suggest that you contact your ISP and ask them what kind of modem they would recommend, or if one is already furnished with the service. There are different ADSL standards and protocols ... and the modem you select needs to be compatible with the type of service you are being offered.
BTW ... USB modems can also be connected to a router to share a single internet connection. The ADSL modem I received from my provider is a USB device from Alcatel, and works just great with four computers and a Draytek Vigor2200 USB router.
