CPU Upgrade. Will I see any improvement?

Hi I have updated my computer about 8 month's ago and having heard that socked 939 will no longer be made was thinking of updating my CPU from the AMD 64 x2 3800 to a x2 +4600 and wanted to know if I would see much improvements.

Computer

ASUS A8N-sli premium
AMD 64 x2 +3800
2GB Corsail RAM
XFX 7800GTX 256

That's what I wanted to know. Think I will be getting a 4600 in the next week or 2 to upgrad and extend the Life of my pc before I have to do a bigger upgrade and form what i can see in AUS the 4600 is still selling for a good price.
