Hi all i have bought a new notebook ( Asus F3JA ) with intel´s CPU T7200
and, my question is What is the CPUs Core Speed !?, i´m asking because intel´s says that is 2.00 ghz but my windows XP sp2 says it´s 997 mhz !( my computer properties )

so what is the real speed of it !?

The rated clock-speed is 2.00GHz. The OS must be reading it in it's low-power(EIST- Speedstep) state. In this state of little CPU usage, the CPU drops the multiplier from 12 down to 6 (6x166=1GHz) to save power.
