This was working Ok on USB 1.0, then today I installed a PCI card USB2.0
(NEC). Everything still worked but I thought it might be better to
re-install SmartPanel and TWAIN 5. When I tried to do this through
Add/Remove programs, I got so far, then message, "An installation support
file could not be installed. Interface not recognised" I then deleted
everything Epson on the HD manually, but when I tried to reinstall the
software a message told me an earlier installation had been detected and
would have to be uninstalled. When I selected yes, I got a progress bar but
nothing happened. I left it for five minutes then Ctrl-alt-Del'd it. I ran
Norton WinDoctor but still seem to be in a loop. Is there a way out of
this, or alternatively, is it possible to regain use of my scanner with
different software?

Regards and thanks in advance,

Pat Macguire
