AMD bought ATI, not the other way around. What's happening as the Inquirer reports is not some disaster. Its nothing new at all. In just that in about all mergers, there is a restructuring that gets rid of unneeded personel. That the ATI name might disappear is old news too. The reference to 3DFX, the makers of the old VooDoo cards is just a tear jerker ploy to make you feel bad. On to other business.
