I have an E6600 overclocked to 3.0ghz(334x9) with 2GB (1GBx2) of Mushkin DDR2 667 Ram(ram is running at 668 mhz). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146111
I am building a computer for my father and for building it, he said he would get me 2 sticks (1GBx2) of DDR2 800. My Mushkin ram is currently running a 1:1 divider with my overclock of the E6600. My main question is, will I see an increase in performance(ie. better overclocking, etc.) in my system by moving to DDR2 800. Will I be able to push the E6600 higher, or should I stick with my current ram? If i should upgrade, could you point me in the right direction on some good DDR2800. I am currently looking at these:

Well you want memory that has the tighest timings for ddr800.
For example for ddr1 you want 2-2-2-5 so you can loosen timings and up the clock speed of the memory.

You would be able to see better OC'ing, but whether the rest of your system could handle it, I'm not sure (heat wise). Thing is, how high of an OC are you going for? The OC you have now already seems fairly decent, see no need to keep pushing.

Out of that list though, I would go with the Corsair, than Firsestix, than OCZ. Although you could save some money and get some G.Skill, which is pretty much equivalent to Corsair and quite a bit cheaper.

I just said hell with it and decided to go with 2GB of G.Skill DDR2 800 F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ and also decided to upgrade my graphics card, even though I don't game, but one day I might :D ,although I do dabble in video editing and movies. I went with the Sapphire X1900XTX 512mb graphics card to round my rig out. I had pretty good components, but I wanted to kick it up an extra notch. I've personally had great experience with NVIDIA, but I've read so many good things about this card, I had to try it out (although it was a tough decision). Do you think I made wise decisions? Thanks for your input.

PS: My board is a plain jane P5B.
