really if ur getting both for the same price its more sensible to go for the pci-e option....much more futureproof.....
Yeah i doubt anyone is going to say dont get the AMD and the pci e card stick with your celery and agp
o yeah um get the AMD and pci e card stay as far away from the p-4 as you can. Not because they suck or i should say not only because but you can get quite the sun burn sitting to close to one of those things!
eVGA 7900GS - $190 from Newegg
eVGA 7600GT - $119 from Newegg
60% Price Difference. No, not much of a price difference at all.
Anyway, the X1900GT is better than the 7900GS for around the same amount. It depends on which card you get and who has a MIR. The Sapphire X1900GT is actually cheaper than most 7900GS cards.
Stay away from the 7900GS. Get the Athlon system & 7600GT PCI-Express.
about 230.00 for a budget. newegg all the way. im going with the 7600 gt and the amd. next year ill get a whole new computer. dx10 quad cores, that means prices should be coming down on stuff thats out now.when i build the new system i dont know who im going with. ati or nvidia. mind you ive always used nvidia . thanks for all the replies.
Can't find the GTX bench (I thought) I saw, but here is a bench showing the X1950 PRO putting some serious hurt on a 7900 GTO... which is a 7900 GTX core with slower 7900 GT memory:
Well it Depends on what you plan on using your PC for. And what is your budget? If you can tell me this believe people will be able to help you much better.
im just learning what ati is what. hey im going to consider my options. plus im building or my tech is building a new computer next year around summerish. i just need a hold me off. i only have a celeron because of an ignorant so called tech. i said put a equal or greater cpu. i had a pent 4 2.8, so i get a celeron 2.6. oh yeah my ti 4600 became a 5200. my wife gave me a 6600le and here i am.
Yeah i used to work with alot of people who didnt care about what they were selling you. Just that they were selling you. I got into a argument with one of the sales people that was telling this dude it was a ultimate gaming rig with total crap for parts and ended up quiting 10 minutes later because he wanted me to lie and say it was good. It pretty much ended up with me telling him i didnt care if he had no integrity i wasnt going to forfit mine because he wanted to lie to a customer.
